Chef Lala was honored to write the foreword to Diabetes? No Problema! A Latino’s Guide to Living Well with Diabetes by Da Capo Press.
[This book] is the ultimate guide to diabetes management and prevention for everyone with a Latino/Hispanic heritage, regardless of your unique ethnic background. The foreword is written by Latina diabetes activist and celebrity, Chef LaLa, known for her delicious and healthy Latino recipes and cookbooks and for acting as a diabetes advocate within the Latino community.
Chef Lala will be performing live demos on stage at the 2009 Expo Comida Latina & All Asia Food, June 16th -18th, in Chilcago, IL.
With a name like “Chef LaLa” and a cookbook called Latin Lover Lite, Laura Diaz highlights her funky — and easily marketable — side. But after a Cinco de Mayo cooking demonstration, I found more to admire about the woman.
